Grip,Throw,Flip and Catch!

I have seen few of those who make it to the top. I would say that flaring is a kind of sport, which many should probably agree upon. This sport is much likely should be given enough time preparation, a lot of practice and concentration. You would not want any bottles landing on the floor right?

I have here a video sample on how flaring works and i hope that this sample will enthize my viewers to be as excited on the Event Food Showdown. Thanks:)

Food Showdown 2008 is a project of a food show, Chef TV. It is a live competition in the mold of Chefs on Parade, the culinary competition of the Hotel and Restaurant Association of the Philippines. Competitors will include students, amateurs and professionals in the hospitality industry, whether involved in cooking or services. The event is endorsed by the Hotel and Restaurant Association of the Philippines and Les Toques Blanches Philippines.

The Food Showdown 2008 is open to the general public. This event focuses on the innate skills and artistry of students, professionals as well as hobbyist and personal chefs. The activity showcases the various elements of the food and beverage service in the hospitality industry.

There are over 20 exciting competitions lined up for the event that include cake decorating, bartending, Filipino desserts, the picnic basket. One of the highlights is the Chefs Wars, a take on the popular cooking show, Iron Chefs and a reformat of the Chefs on Parade Market Basket Competition. The Food Showdown 2008 can be as exciting to non-participants. There will be cake decorating, cocktail mixing, pastry displays and, the crowd pleaser, flair tending.
There will also be seminars on food styling and photography, food writing, business financing, wines and coffee.
